Redeeming Love

Redeeming Love deepened my understanding of God’s love as one that remains even when fear, shame or distance pulls me away. It reminded me that God does not coerce repentance or withdraw affection but waits patiently in a steadfast, faithful and unchanging way. That truth throughout this book reshaped how I see both redemption and hope: not as something I earn, but as something freely given to me even when I turn my back.

Finding God’s Life for My Will

Finding God’s Life for My Will by Mike Donehey - I can’t talk about this book enough. Not only has it made a profound impact on my faith and personal relationship with Jesus, but it has also forever changed the way I read the Bible and think about the impact of God’s will in my life. Mike is also just a fantastic writer and extremely engaging storyteller. His anecdotes are hilarious, and his examples and lightbulb moments definitely stay with you even months and years after turning the last page. This is one of the few books I’ve read multiple times, and I will for sure keep recommending it to everyone.

The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry

For me, The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry landed less like a self-help book and more like a quiet confrontation. It names what many of us feel but rarely say out loud; that hurry isn’t just a time problem, it’s a way of living that slowly drains presence, depth, and joy from our lives. This read helped me see how hurry thins out relationships, distorts our sense of purpose, and keeps us distracted from what matters. But what I appreciated most is that John Mark points toward a different rhythm altogether; one shaped by rest, simplicity, silence, and intention. Not a retreat from life, but a return to it.
