Little Women Gallery

Grace Corner's entryway and dining room serve as an exhibition gallery for an extensive collection of memorabilia from Louisa May Alcott's famous story, Little Women. The classic Civil War-era novel has been repeatedly adapted for stage, screen, opera, and television, and the Little Women Gallery bears witness to its many incarnations. Photographs, figurines, play programs, musical scores, plates, dolls, Christmas ornaments, postage stamps, books -- the list of Gallery collectibles is as long as it is varied. The crown jewel of the Gallery collection (viewable only by request) is a costume that was worn by Winona Ryder in the 1993 Columbia movie.

With advance notice, guided tours of the Little Women Gallery can be scheduled for individuals, families, school groups, or organizations. Little Women retreat weekends are also available on request, and an annual November open house at Grace Corner honors Alcott's birthday.
