Retreat. The very word means different things to different people, sparking images of lively youth weekends for some, while others think of prayerful visits to a remote hermitage. Because Grace Corner is a "retreat house" and not a full-scale retreat center, it is best suited for very small groups and personal retreats. The warm, home-like atmosphere allows for a broad range of retreat activities and/or spiritual disciplines. Up to three meals and a session of spiritual direction are included in the daily rate.
Sue Radosti, your Grace Corner hostess, is more than happy to help you assess your needs and suggest options for approaching your time alone with God ... or for incorporating a spouse or ministry partners into your retreat. Assistance is also available for planning group retreats, whether the focus is spiritual, vocational, or recreational. Grace Corner can accommodate eight people overnight (double occupancy in four rooms) or a day group of 12.
Shepherd's Sabbath
If you are a religious or clergy, you know how difficult it is to find time and space for a true Sabbath rest. The traditional Sabbath day is often the most hectic day of the week! Grace Corner offers an annual "day pass" to encourage people in full-time Christian ministry to take a regular midweek Sabbath. The $250 pass allows unlimited daytime use of the facility (including the prayer garden, the hot tub, and any unoccupied guest rooms) as well as a monthly session of spiritual direction. Spouses are welcome at no extra cost. Whether you take advantage of the quiet atmosphere to study, pray, or stretch out for some sacred slumber, you can count on privacy and confidentiality at Grace Corner. Scholarship money is available. To arrange for your pass, please or call (712) 944-5696.
At Grace Corner every day is Sabbath - time to rest, to reflect, to relish the blessings of life.
